Manca Juvan & Bojan Brecelj: Back to Eden

“Back to Eden” is a collaborative project between fellow artists Manca Juvan and Bojan Brecelj. They found a common inspiration in the time of the COVID-19 pandemics. The unstoppable flux of (mis)information, combined with the lockdown, has brought them closer towards their feelings and little truths about our current lives. Based on those small, but potentially significant revelations, two-colour images were created to support the momentum of so-called Coronavirus crisis, to be truly our opportunity to stop and look inwards, not only outwards; to look back to the future and move on to be closer to Eden.

of sadness,

of anxiety,

of loss.

It's a time …

with the privilege

to pause.

It's time ...

to face

the uncomfortable

strip down

to the simplest

life

and dare

to see anew.

It's time ...

to make amends,

within,

without,

with not a single doubt.

It's time …

to see through

the many blinds

that will bring us

to new finds -

to love,

harmony,

humanity,

forever intertwined.

It's time ...

to stop

and restart

dreaming.

It's time ...

to take the time

for that which

gives (us) life and meaning.
