Story No. 11

Photography Exhibition & Charity Auction for Europa Donna Slovenija

The project Story No. 11 is a tender narrative about the beauty, vulnerability and power of the female body. It presents eleven women who, through various life experiences – from motherhood to illness – have reconnected with their femininity. The photographs, captured through the lens of Mimi Antolovič, reveal the tenderness, strength, and acceptance that each story carries.

The exhibition will be on display at Galerija Fotografija between 10th and 14th November.

On Wednesday, 12th November, at 7 pm, we invite you to the charity auction of the exhibited photographs, which will be led by Mitja Meršol, the long-standing Delo editor and legendary auctioneer of charity auctions.

All the proceeds will be donated to Europa Donna Slovenija, an organisation supporting women with breast cancer, raising awareness, prevention programmes and supportive community-building.

The creators of the project, Petra Kordiš and Dr Igor Višnjar, in collaboration with Galerija Fotografija, Europa Donna Slovenija, and experts from the Oncology Institute of Ljubljana, have created a space where art and medicine intertwine in a sincere dialogue about the body and identity. With its message, it transcends gallery walls – as a tribute to women, their bodies and their stories.

"Every woman has her own body story – sometimes it's a tale of change, sometimes of courage. With this project, we wanted to show that aesthetics is not about perfection, but about self-respect," emphasised Dr Igor Višnjar.

"We are delighted that we have been able to use art to contribute to something that has a real impact on women's lives," added Mimi Antolovič, the producer of the project.
