Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize, 13th November 2025–8th February 2026
Group Exhibition: Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize 2025
13th November 2025–8th February 2026
National Portrait Gallery, London (UK)

The Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize showcases the work of talented young photographers, gifted amateurs and established professionals in the very best of contemporary photography.

Ciril Jazbec will be part of the group exhibition with his portrait of Leona, a young girl from Uummannaq in Greenland. Unexpectedly painting her face with seal blood after the crew finished filming seal hunting, Leona showed a powerful, timeless gesture that spoke of heritage, resilience and the pulse of her ancestors still alive in Greenlandic youth today.

The Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize competition celebrates a diverse range of images and tells the fascinating stories behind the creation of works, from formal commissioned portraits to more spontaneous and intimate moments capturing friends and family. The selected images, many of which are on display for the first time, explore both traditional and contemporary approaches to the photographic portrait whilst capturing a range of characters, moods and locations.
