ABOUT THE SERIES
Fascinated by tiny seeds and their diverse shapes, the visual artist Tilyen Mucik began documenting them years ago while cataloguing and organising her home seed collection. Soon, her enthusiasm grew into an extensive photography project entitled Seeds, in which she photographed a multitude of seeds of all possible shapes and colours, found or grown by herself or brought to her by her friends and acquaintances. This year, she expanded the existing series with new works and a colourful selection of brand-new botanical portraits, which she placed at the centre of our gaze. Each with its own story and symbolism, these seeds bring attention to the interconnectedness and interdependence of the human and plant worlds.
